Proud of their Oregon Trail heritage, the people of this county are more than willing to share with you their old-fashioned hospitality and history. The ‘backyard’ of Wasco County embraces some of the most beautiful evergreen forests in the country and the Columbia River offers fishing, boating, and windsurfing, as well as a magnificent view of Mount Hood.

Wasco County is the hub of the Mid Columbia, and has easy access to Portland. It is home to a mild climate with sunny summer days.
